How Imagers Work

 

Why Do We Use Thermography?

Thermography is used as it is a highly flexible and effective diagnostic technique due to its:-

  1. Non-contact implementation.
  2. Can safely measure the temperature of moving objects, very hot objects (Up to 2000°C) and high voltage objects.
  3. Thermal Imaging gives us an overall temperature profile of the subject rather than the temperature at one point.
  4. Images can and should be taken live.
  5. Determine when maintenance is required.
  6. Planned maintenance instead of costly outages.
  7. Increased output.
  8. We control the equipment instead of the equipment controlling us.
