Motor Current Analysis

Proviso Systems Ltd are able to offer two choices in the motor current analysis field:-

1) We can supply an intelligent online solution. The Artesis MCM (Motor Current Monitor) which encompasses the following

  • Artesis MCM LV Line  (for Low Voltage Line-driven Motors)
  • Artesis MCM LV Inverter  (for Low Voltage Inverter-driven Motors)
  • Artesis MCM MV&HV  (for Medium & High Voltage Motors)
  • Artesis MCM MV&HV  (for Military applications)

2) We can carry out Motor Current Analysis as a field service. (Larger AC Motors Only)

Motor Current Analysis

Early Detection of rotor related faults in AC Induction Motors

  • Cracked or broken rotor bars
  • Cracked rotor end rings
  • High resistance joints in squirrel cage windings
  • Casting porosities or blow holes in aluminium
  • Poor joint brazing in fabricated rotors
  • Rotor winding problems in slip-ring induction motors
  • Stationary or rotating air gap irregularities
  • Unbalanced magnetic pull
  • Mechanical unbalance
  • Bent shaft, thermal bow
  • Out-of-round stator, rotor or bearings.
